Mutual aid groups, faith groups and community-based organisations are at the forefront of humanitarian response efforts. They save lives, support communities, and create dignified, effective solutions that are led by local individuals. Our goal is to ensure these local actors are fully recognised, resourced, and empowered so that humanitarian aid is shaped by the very people it serves. By centering their knowledge and leadership, we aim to build a system rooted in solidarity, driven by communities, and capable of responding to crises with a lasting impact.
